Challenging project because the owner of the 10-year-existent beauty saloon wanted to change its identity. The interior space was white, simple and clean, focused on female public from 40 to 60 years old. The cliente wanted to expand the business aiming a new public - female and male, from 20 years old and also mantain its usual clientes. We started to search architectural elements and concepts to transform its spaces as younger and unisex it could be - considering its construction in a 60's house.

The proposal of the project was to value and show all the house structure and brick walls - to achieve an open space concept to bring more mirrors and chairs for the new clients. We also had a budget limit that stimulated us to come up mirror's installation in short walls made of concrete blocks - cheaper material than wood.

Next you can see the renovated-opened floor plan (AutoCad) such as the draw of the existing saloon. Comparing the plans you will see that'd be possible to re-open the front windows that were behind the old mirrors. You'd see that the opened space let more hairstylists working in parallel. There's also a collage showing concepts of other beauty saloons that we used as references to renovate the identity and interior space.
